Bill and Nate have been playing together in bands for several years. Their first band was called Off Brand. It was a punk-trio and lasted part of their high-school career and a little into college. They went through several drummers in this time and had one very exceptional drummer. After a bit into college they gave up on Off Brand and started a couple of side-projects. EDGAR(Every Day Geeks Attack Rockers) and The Long Dead Lyrical Genious. During that time both were in Richmond, Va. Once they moved back to wonderful Northern Va they decided to get a band together but not have it be punk but a more indie-rock sound. The first name they tried out was Shoulders To Cry On, but decided that was too "emo" and decided to move on. They were still in search of a drummer and a friend of Bill's brother came along named Dan. Dan was great on drums and after one practice Bill and Nate knew he was the one. For a while the band went un-named and they tried ideas such as The Dan Kahn Band. It wasn't until Bill had a stroke of genious that he came upon the name connect the dot. Then after fooling around with the name a bit they formed it into Connecthedot. Now the band is ready to rock and rock they shall.
